Another rise in number of UvA PhD promotions in 2023

UvA figures show that the number of PhD promotions in 2023 has increased by almost four per cent to 590. In 2022, the number was 568. The number of UvA’s PhD promotions comes mainly from PhD students in medicine: half of the promotions took place at the Faculty of Medicine.
