At the four UvA voting locations (UB, P.C. Hoofthuis, Bushuis and Sciencepark), GroenLinks-PvdA emerged as the big winner in the House of Representatives elections. VVD was next most popular at three of the four locations: only at Science Park, Volt came out second.

At all four locations, GroenLinks-PvdA managed to secure a substantial share of the votes. At the UB it was 39 percent, at the Bus House 44 percent, at the P.C.Hoofthuis 42 percent and at Science Park 58 percent.

At Café Polder, which is near the Science Park and was also a voting location, GroenLinks also got the most votes. Interestingly, Nieuw Sociaal Contract, Pieter Omtzigt’s party that also scored well nationally, also scored high, winning 6 percent of the vote.

The PVV, which managed a huge win nationally, did not fare as well at UvA locations. Only at the UB did Geert Wilders’ party manage to get 6 percent of the vote. At the other locations it landed at 2 or 4 percent.

Turnout at the locations was high, reaching 175 and 160 percent respectively at two locations (UB and Science Park). This may be so because voters are advised to vote at a particular polling place. But in principle, provided the voter has a voting pass and valid ID, they may also vote anywhere else in the city.

Throughout Amsterdam, the GroenLinks-PvdA combination scored high. Only in Noord at Oostzanerwerf was PVV the biggest winner, writes Parool. In Nieuw-West, the party Denk was also popular among voters.
